UX Recruiting in a Competitive Landscape

Although we appear to be experiencing a recession resulting in layoffs or a hiring freeze, employers are competing tooth and nail for the best UX Designers. That’s not to say that open positions are unlimited. Those one or two new hires are crucial and it’s important to get that first-choice designer. How can you put your best foot forward when attracting and interviewing top talent?

Can you improve the way you’re presenting your opportunities to potential applicants? Does your interview process and candidate experience leave much to be desired? Are you doing everything right and still losing the brightest designers to your direct competitors?

During our discussion, we will:
- Talk about how you can develop a hiring roadmap that illustrates opportunities for career progression, accurate and vetted job descriptions, and a streamlined interview process with clearly defined ownership of the hiring decision.

- Address the importance of a deliberate and well-crafted interview experience that reflects your values and brand and ensures a positive candidate experience.

- Share successes and failures from our own experiences as well as those from our network in the design community.
